Hi Poetry Fans!

The whole point of this blog is to build a community. I get lonely sitting at my desk! A long time elapses between conferences and readings, and during that time, I see very few writers. I wanted to come up with a question that would allow me (and anyone reading this blog) to get to know other poets. I like the question I came up with because it's not set in stone. I may reach out to the same people many times over the years, and I expect their answer to this question will change often. This may allow me to create a playlist of favorites for each writer as they move forward in their careers. I also like this question because the answer does not rely on the arbitrary judgment of any other reader, critic, or editor. The poem these poets choose to share with us may be a poem that has been rejected multiple times.

The only thing that matters here is that the poet loves it.
