Poetry Pop-Ups and Discussion Groups

Happy New Year! (It’s hard to say that with great enthusiasm, given the state of the world, but at least we have our writing lives, and this community, and for that, I am very grateful.)
Normally, I teach in Detroit, but I am also offering these online classes (below). If you are interested, please message me.

Poetry Pop-Ups:
Two-hour workshops. A week before the class, I will email the reading material and a writing prompt.
(Class is capped at ten participants.)
Friday, January 16th, 1-3 pm.
Thursday, January 29th, 3-5 pm.
Tuesday, February 10th, 2-4 pm.
Tuesday, February 24th, 1-3 pm.
All Poetry Pop-Up classes are $35 each, but if you sign up for all four pop-ups, you can buy them for a discounted $120.
Ellen Bass Poetry Discussion Class (capped at six participants) $40:
Friday, March 6th, 1-3pm
We will be discussing Ellen Bass’s collection Indigo for the first hour. I will send writing prompts based on the collection the week before class, and we’ll workshop your own poems during the second hour. Each participant may submit one poem for review.
